Goodnight 35…

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy-the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” – Brene Brown.

Thank you 35 for all the wonderful memories, good health, and personal growth. I am so grateful for this year and can’t wait to see what next year brings. Goodnight 35 because…

A day well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

  1. I love Dr Brown’s work on vulnerability. It’s so personal and applicable to my life as a woman and mother. I loved this post and and the idea. We should all celebrate our birthdays with such great reflection.

    1. Thank you, Dawn. I really appreciate your kind words. I used to dread my birthday and now after reading the Gift of Imperfections, Daring Greatly and taking Dr. Brown’s Lifeclass I am doing better at celebrating the joy that each year brings and the blessing it is to age.

Thanks again for reading my blog. Have a great day!

  2. You are awesome!!!!! We wish you lots of love, peace and happiness! Happy Birthday and “Good Morning 36!” YOU ROCK!!!!!!
    Love, G.G., John and ME
