Seer- one who sees

Seer – one who sees.

For as long as I can remember I have seen and heard spirits. I am what some call a medium or clairvoyant. I like to use the word seer – for some reason it just seems right.

My mom says that at the age of two I woke her in the middle of the night to tell her that there was a man on my room. That man stayed with me for many, many years. He became my shadow. He was harmless of course, but he was what some call a “guide”. He seemed to always make sure to ward of darker spirits and keep a good many of the spirits that always fluttered around me and a good distance.

I know some of you are skeptical of this even though I have received a warm reception from many. See the thing is that I am not completely sure how it works either and even though I have a deep faith in the afterlife and in a higher being, I am often at odds with what I am able to do.

I have given readings to over 100 people. They have all gone well. Each one left me with “proof” that the messages and the spirits that come through are real. Still I feel a little fruit loops talking about it with other people. I am hoping the more I talk about it that I can help to erase the stigma that resides with being able to talk to the dead.

See, this past year as the crazy things we see happening in the world increase, I am more certain than ever that we need to reel things back in and get more in touch with our souls. We need to acknowledge our inner selves and really start to have compassion for others. Luckily I live in a small town and the majority of people have a lot of compassion for others. Very rarely does someone cut in line or cut me off on the road. Neighbors wave hello to one another and there is a strong sense of community. When one of our members is hurting we all pitch in to help out.

However, I had to go into a much larger city a little over a week ago and it was insanity. The drivers in the cars on the freeway were insane. People trampled my littles without even noticing or acting like they cared. Now I am not saying everyone was like this – a nice man tried to help get us to some seats, but the majority pushed, shoved and angrily sped past us. If we don’t stop and try to get back in touch with our souls and follow the golden rule; we are in for trouble.

Some of us have forgotten that we are all in this together. We need to remember that.
